Looking to catch the world famous Blue Angels in action? The 2012 Florida International Air Show is the only show in southern Florida featuring the Blue Angels, officially known as the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron. Formed in 1946, the squadron is currently the oldest formal flying aerobatic team, and the six demonstration pilots currently fly the F/A-18 Hornet in more than 70 shows at 34 locations throughout the United States each year, where they still employ many of the same practices and techniques used in their aerial displays in 1946. Since their inception, the "Blues" have flown a variety of different aircraft types, thrilling more than 427 million spectators worldwide. Celebrating its 32^nd year, the Show will be filled with amazing military and civilian aircraft demonstrations. The line up includes two jet teams—one military and one civilian, the largest air show team in the Country flying 12 aircraft, and a F/A-18 Super Hornet tactical demonstration, just to name a few. Displays

Attendees will enjoy seeing aircraft dating from before World War II to the present day tactical fighters. In addition, if you are young, or just young at heart, you can find your own thrills in the expanded children's entertainment area, or engaging in the interactive exhibits. More »
